Good for classroom, slow shipping

I ordered a Lab Station Bundle with a few extra DNA extraction kits for my high school biology class. The products themselves are solid; everything came well-packaged and was easy to integrate into our existing lesson plans. The quality of the micropipettes and the instructions for the kits were clear, which is a big plus when you're dealing with multiple students. My only real gripe was the shipping speed. It took almost two weeks to reach our school in Ohio, which is a bit long when you're planning around specific lab dates. I understand perishable items might take longer, but these weren't. Still, the value for the money was good, and the customer service helped me track the package when I called them.

Decent kit, quick setup

Got a CRISPR kit for a college lab. It arrived okay, nothing broken. Instructions were clear enough for the students to follow. Worked as expected. Shipping was average, took 5 days to reach Denver. Good product for classroom use.

hey, trying to order some stuff for our lab, mainly a thermal cycler and some kits. wondering how fast shipping is, especially for the kits with 'live' components?

From what I remember, they ship the perishable stuff pretty quick, usually with cold packs if needed. Had an electrophoresis kit arrive in a few days.

yeah, they prioritize those. i think it's like 2-day or something for anything that needs to stay cool. the bigger equipment might take a bit longer but still pretty standard.

thinking about getting one of those DNA fingerprinting kits for my high school class. are they actually safe for younger kids, like 8th graders?

My middle schoolers used their transformation kit last year and it was totally fine. They really design them for classroom use, so safety is a big deal.

Yeah, they're pretty good about that. I always check their materials but they usually have very clear instructions and warnings if anything is even mildly tricky. Most of it is pretty benign though.
